Hello Members! Holiday decorations may be displayed November 15th - January 15th.
If you enjoy decorating your lawn please know the landscapers may not
mow your lawn while your decorations are on display.
It’s that time of year. Pumpkin spice and
everything nice. Along with the pumpkin spice
comes the changing of the leaves on the trees… and then, they fall. (Paraphrased from the digital article) BellaVista has advised they will be
focusing on clearing walkways, roadways and driveways first and foremost and planter beds secondly. This means the planter beds may wait a
bit in order to handle the amount of leaf drop. By end of the drop season, the team will work on removing leaves from the planter beds. The
leaves, as they break down, provide the soil with valuable nutrients. We know it can be frustrating to have the leaves stuck in the plants, but they
will be removed. During leaf drop, the team will gather the piles in the street. Their goal is to have them removed daily but there may be
instances where they have to come back the next morning.
As the colder weather approaches, many members show up to The Retreat with hats, jackets, and umbrellas. Unfortunately, many of those items
tend to hang back after events and end up in The Retreat’s lost and found. As silly as it may sound, it would be amazing if you could place your
name inside some of these items so we are able to timely return the left-behind items to their proper Owners.
We have received word there has been an another uptick on rodent activity in the community. Unfortunately, this will continue so long as there
is construction nearby. Please note that pest control on the individual home lots is Owner responsibility. While the association cannot mandate
the measures used at individual homes, we do encourage the use of non-poisonous measures where bait may travel from rodents to neighboring
yards and expose pets and people. It also helps to not leave any pet food or other attractive substances out in your yard.
We have a lot of activities on the horizon the rest of the year which include but are not limited to the craft fair, open house, end of year dinner
party and more! We hope to see you at these fun-filled events.
