cancer in her body and asked to do some further tests
for an exact diagnosis. She was having weakness. I took
her to the Siddhivinayak Hospital Miraj by the car of
M.S. Patil. Doctor had asked us to come after a few days
for an operation after the primary tests. We went back to
Kolhapur and saw Dr. Nadkarni. He said, “Cancer is a
rare disease. I think she has a TB. It is curable by taking
regular medicines." She was cured it a few days and
never fell ill after that because, she was really busy in the
household as well as offi ce work.
Doctor advised me to buy her a new saree worth
Rs. 5000 as a gift of recovering from a big disease.

In 1999, I got a paralysis attack. My wife got scared
but she consoled me saying, “Dear, please don't be panic,
surely you will be stand on your legs." Her confi dence
became my strength and I recovered from the disease.
(we were the two wheels of our house.) Both were equally
important.

After this, I controlled my drinking habits. I did
various courses of Art of Living and Siddha Samadhi
yoga. I used to follow yoga, meditation, pranayama on
the regular basis. It made me physically and mentally
strong. As a result, I could fight the odds it made me

confident human being which was equally important to
lead a happy life. Lokmanya Tilak had also gave a priority
to his health over his education.
