fear. And once Americans are scared, they begin
to skim the headlines and go light on the facts and
heavy on spreading their panic-filled feelings on
social media.
When our Founding Fathers signed the
Constitution, they didn’t include an addendum to
the First Amendment that read, “Congress shall
make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging
the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of
the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the
Government for a redress of grievances . . . unless we
believe that a report being produced by organizations
that don’t have our best interests in mind are telling us

I want you to ask yourself the following question
with passionate enthusiasm. Why are we referring to
this as COVID-19 and not COVID-18 or COVID-12?
The truth of the matter is this is not the first time a
“new” or “novel” strain of a coronavirus has impacted
the planet and the people living on it. You see on this
