great planet, there are unfortunately many different
types of human coronaviruses and some of which
cause minimal upper-respiratory tract illnesses.
However, COVID-19 is a new “novel” disease that has
previously not been seen in humans on our planet up
to this point. However, with previous scares we did
not shut our great country down. And as a response
to the 2009 swine flu that infected 60.8 million

Americans according to the Center for Disease
Control we did not shut America down either. But
with COVID-19, we did shut it down. And we shut it
down without really even knowing what COVID-19
means, how many people it was going to kill, and why
we were so panicked to begin with.
Personally, I am unsettled by the Director of the

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,
Dr. Anthony Fauci’s comments of, “we have to be
prepared when the infections start to rear their heads
again . . .” I am mentioning this because we are going
to have another new “novel” virus that is going to
scare us next year. The sooner that you and I can
come to grips with the fact that even the common
flu (that mass-media currently hasn’t decided to turn
into an endless breaking-news cycle) killed 80,000

Americans in 2017 and 2018 alone. You and I must
resolve in our minds that we shall never again allow
our hard-fought-for American rights to be stripped
