FEAR UNMA S KED

who is a parent would probably say that they wish
they could shield their children from the bad. Yet
most of us don’t avoid taking them to school, soccer,
dance, football, vacation, or anything fun because it
requires driving in a car. If we are following the same
logic that incited the coronavirus pandemic panic, we
must never go anywhere or do anything ever again
that could possibly be a risk. But the fact is, we don’t

do that folks. We never have and we never will back
down from life just because of a little risk.
There is the legitimate precaution though with
children and the coronavirus. Our little loved ones
could—I repeat, COULD—pass the virus on to
someone who is at a higher risk level such as the
elderly or anyone with a compromised immune

system. According to Dr. Fauci, “If a young individual,
a child, gets infected, they may do perfectly well from
a physical standpoint,” he said, “but they may bring
it home to a person who is susceptible.” Here’s the

thing though guys, don’t we all do that anyway? I
know for my family, I don’t purposely bring them out
to cough on the elderly or those with compromised
immune systems whether they have the flu, another
seasonal virus, or even the common cold. I have five

kids. One thing I’ve learned is they are resilient. They
may be carrying around the common cold 70 percent
of the year. But that shouldn’t stop them from doing
