The Search for Land

As they were drifting away, the current began to
die down. The storm had nearly completely subsided.
“WE’RE GON’ DIE AT SEA!” said Al in a
tantrum.
“Calm down Al,” Captain Thomas said,
attempting to get Al to shut up. “We must search for
some sign of land. Look for birds, leaves in the water,
and any islands that show signs of life.”
“Now that sounds like a magnificent idea,”
Bernard said, “But I’m famished and most thirsty.”
“WE’RE GON’ DIE,” Al groaned once more.
“Men, gather yourselves together.” Captain
