Pupils in
catwalk capers
It was time! I listened intently… Our
class name was announced. ‘P5M,
Miss Mackenzie’s class,’ said one of the
teachers. My heart raced at the sound of
our name – this was it! I was so excited!
When we went on stage my heart skipped
a beat. We all clapped, danced, yawned
and drew rude pictures of Miss Trunchbull.
We danced to the music from Matilda and
the crowd cheered wildly as we all danced
merrily. At the end the teachers did a
dance (my favourite by far) which they
called ‘embarrassing’ but really it was quite
funny!

Harvest collection supports city soup kitchen
Pupils in the Junior School
gathered at a Harvest
Festival in School Hall before
hundreds of donations were
given to worthy causes.
Following the event, P6J
pupils helped to distribute
the vast array of Harvest
gifts that were generously
donated by pupils, parents
and staff. Pupils packed a
van full of donations for
the Souper Saturday soup
kitchen at Old St Paul’s
Church. Children also visited
Thomson’s Court in the
Grassmarket to deliver 32
Harvest gift packages to
local residents.
