Welcome to the Bocaire Bliss Steam Room - your personal oasis of warmth and relaxation.
Here, you can let the gentle heat envelop you, melting away the stresses of the day. The steam room is not just
a place, it's an experience. It's where you can unwind, rejuvenate, and cleanse both body and mind.
So step in, let the steam rise, and allow yourself to be transported to a world of calm and serenity.
Bocaire Steam Room Guidelines
To get the most out of the steam room experience, incorporate the following:
Avoid Dehydration
A healthy sweat is one of the goals of using the steam room, however, be sure to hydrate beforehand and have
water nearby to maintain hydration. You should drink plenty of water before and after a steam room session to
replenish fluids lost through the skin. Avoid alcohol pre- and post-steam to prevent further dehydration. It is also
a good idea to avoid eating for at least an hour before enjoying the steam room. Blood flow redirects to the
skin's surface when your body temperature rises during a steam room session. That means using the steam
room right after eating can negatively affect digestion.
Take a Shower
As a matter of hygiene, you should enter the steam room with a clean body. Shower with a natural soap or body
wash, rinse off thoroughly, and do not apply anything to your skin before steaming. That way, nothing will get
between your skin and the steam.
Attire Yourself Properly
Since our steam rooms are large enough for more than one person, we suggest wearing a towel, at least.
Remove all your jewelry before entering. Bathing suits are not the best choice because they trap moisture.
Additionally, bathing suits with any metal adornment on them will become extremely hot and cause a burn.
Loose-fitting cotton shorts, t-shirts, and bras (without underwires) absorb excess heat waves and allow the skin
to breathe properly. Street shoes are not permitted in our steam rooms. A pair of flip-flops or sandals for steam
room use only, is best to avoid tracking in dirt and unwanted bacteria.
Keep track of time. It is especially important to know how long you are in the steam room. If you are not
comfortable after five minutes, leave. As your tolerance for heat rises, you can increase the time, but listen to
your body's signals. A good cutoff time is 15 - 20 minutes. And check with your doctor who can let you know if
you are a suitable candidate for steam therapy.
Master the Cooldown
A successful cool-down is particularly important to support the physical and mental health benefits gained from
the steam session.
