Course Care

We are at about the midway point of our Golf Season here at Bocaire. At this time of year the grass is slower
to recover and the course begins to show wear and tear. It is imperative that everyone who is playing golf is
proactive with caring for the course. Ball marks on the green will heal within 3-4 days if properly repaired
right after the mark is made. However, if a ball mark is not repaired, it will take up to three weeks to heal.
We are averaging about 100 rounds per day and if everyone only missed one ball mark per round, you can see
how quickly this can become a problem.

Ball mark repair tools are provided at no charge in the amenity center near the Starter’s Booth. The graphic
below shows how to properly repair a ball mark, so that it heals properly and efficiently.

If we all just take a little time to repair our ball marks and a few extras that may have been missed, we can
keep your golf course in the pristine condition that we all know and love.

Keep it in the short grass,
    Corey Johnson, PGA
    Director of Golf
