        he W&RSETA supports small businesses development and promotion

     job  creation  and  economic  growth.  Through the  partnership with the
     National Small Business Chamber (NSBC) which include online events
     and advertising, the W&RSETA participated in the NSBC’s Webinar
     Wednesday on 9 March 2022. George Mushaike, the W&RSETA Senior
     Regional Manager: GPN, LMP & MP joined was  in conversation with
     the NSBC’s Founder and CEO, Mike Anderson on the SETA’s SMME
     support and development programmes. About 100 business people and
     budding entrepreneurs joined the conversation which focused on how
     small businesses can benefit from the W&RSETA SMME grants.

     Following engagements with the W&RSETA CEO, Tom Mkhwanazi
     and as part of the SETA’s career guidance strategy, 24 learners
     from both  schools had  an opportunity to  have a  real-life
     workplace experience and learn more about the clothing retail
     value chain from manufacturing to the shop floor. Learners were
     also introduced to career path opportunities and scarce skills in
     the sector. This is Pep Stores’ first initiative of this kind, and the          Learners
     retailer plans to continue at a bigger and improved scale.
