Women succeed against all odds to pursue
entrepreneurship

ver 800 women have become part of 1800 women
Oentrepreneurs who have benefited from the W&RSETA’s
partnership with The Clothing Bank (TCB). This partnership
is in support of TCB’s 2-year programme to uplift abused and
vulnerable women to become sustainable by improving their
existing businesses or start new ventures. The majority are still
running their businesses in retail and other sectors.
The women from the 2019 to 2021 programmes completed the
Informal Small Business Practice Learnership and graduated in
East London, Durban, Pretoria and Cape Town.
Established in 2013, the W&RSETA has invested R12 million towards
the partnership with TCB on this programme. It is the W&RSETA’s
contribution to alleviating poverty and unemployment, particularly The Clothing Bank’s Jane te Water Naude at the
