MANDATORY GRANT APPLICATIONS - 2022/23
2022/23 DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDING WINDOWS
Due 30 April 2022
&RSETA qualifying levy-paying companies have until 30 April 2022 to submit applications for Mandatory Grants for the 2022/23
Wfinancial year. Companies are required to submit the following documents electronically on the W&RSETA Management
Dear Valued Stakeholder,
Information System for the applications:
The W&RSETA invites its stakeholders (W&RSETA levy-paying employers, retail or business
o Employment Profile
o Annual Training Report based on training implemented in 2021/22
associations, TVET & HET institutions and accredited training providers) to apply for
o Workplace Skills Plan based on training planned for 2022/23
Discretionary Grants for the 2022/2023 financial year. Grants will be awarded to
stakeholders to implement learnership, skills programme, graduate placement, WIL ,
METHOD OF SUBMISSION:
artisan and RPL programmes.
Submissions must be made on the Management Information System (MIS) which is accessible from www.wrseta.org.za or via the
link: www.wrsetaonline.org.za under Stakeholder Login.
Allocations will be considered for applications from levy-paying companies that submitted
Annexure II documents for the 2021/22 financial year by 30 April 2021.
Stakeholders are requested to contact their nearest provincial office for assistance and/or access to the MIS. Only registered SDFs will
be granted access to the system. We also encourage stakeholders to commence with their submissions once the system is open to avoid
last minute submissions when the system is experiencing congestion that could lead to delays and frustrations.Information
All applications must be submitted through the W&RSETA Management
System by 8 April 2022.
GRANT PAYMENTS

Approval of compliant Annexure II submissions will be made within 90 days from the closing date. Mandatory Grant payments will be
processed quarterly once approved, based on 20% of the levy contribution in the financial period.

Non-compliant submissions may be rejected, and no Mandatory Grants will be paid. All unclaimed Mandatory Grants will be transferred
to the W&RSETA’s Discretionary Fund.

The W&RSETA will publish funding windows inviting companies to apply for Discretionary Grants. These grants are allocated at the sole
discretion of the W&RSETA subject to availability of funds, with the aim of addressing specific skills needs as per the W&RSETA Sector
Skills Plan and Annual Performance Plan.
