Forging ahead,
together!
une was yet another eventful month focused on stakeholder
Jengagement.
The Fuel Retailers Association convened their biennial conference on 8
and 9 June 2022 in Johannesburg after a three-year hiatus due to the
COVID-19 lockdowns. At this conference, role players in the fuel retail
sector gathered to engage on current challenges facing the industry
particularly focusing on finding ways to create capabilities to chart into
the new trajectory.
In its second month for the current financial year, the CEO’s stakeholder
engagement programme headed to the North-West and KwaZulu-Natal.
The interactions provided insights into the realities of implementing
skills programmes from various perspectives. Stakeholders also
shared innovative initiatives and showcased their contribution to skills
development in the sector.
The main highlight of the month was the launch of our 2021/22
Message from the International Leadership Development Programme. Following a
rigorous selection process, 90 delegates will participate in this highly
Editor-in-Chief acclaimed flagship programme of the W&RSETA. The programme is
highly anticipated following a long break since the completion of the
2018/19 offering. We wish the delegates a transformational learning
journey ahead.
In this issue I invite you to read up on these developments as we bring you up to
date with the many activities we have had this month.
2022 Youth Month 2 We will reconnect again next month to share updates from our July
