development
e have just concluded the first quarter of the 2022/23 financial
Wyear, and it has been a productive period. Credit to the
contribution of our stakeholder companies and other partners in skills
development, we have made positive inroads in achieving our targets
for the year.
The main highlight for July was the official launch of the W&RSETA’s
third Wholesale and Retail Leadership Chair (WRLC). The Gauteng
WRLC is housed at the University of Johannesburg and the W&RSETA
shared some major milestones that have been achieved since the
appointment of the Leadership Chair in 2021. We look forward to
continued support from our stakeholders in advancing the work of the
WRLC to professionalise the Wholesale and Retail Sector.
Message from the This month the year-long CEO’s stakeholder engagement programme
Editor-in-Chief focused on Gauteng and Limpopo with trade unions represented
on the W&RSETA Board as well as wholesale and retail companies.
