e are deeply saddened by the devastation of the recent floods in
WKwaZulu-Natal which have claimed over 400 lives and severely
impacted on businesses. Our heartfelt condolences for the tragic loss of
loved ones. Following the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic in
2020 and the lootings in 2021, as a country we find ourselves at a point
of tapping into our resilience once again to pick up the pieces of our
lives. We wish our stakeholders who have suffered loss to their businesses
strength and courage as they rebuild.

to this vision through various initiatives. We start the new financial year
with a greater level of enthusiasm and dedication to realise this vision in
the Wholesale and Retail Sector.
Our Annual Performance Plan (APP) has been approved by the Minister
of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and we invite all our
stakeholders to partner with us in achieving the commitments we have
made to contribute to skills development in South Africa. We share the
APP on page 2 and 3.
