W&RSETA’s skills development priorities for 2022/23

In 2022/23, the W&RSETA has committed to achieve 33 targets
on skills development priorities to be delivered in the Wholesale
and Retail Sector.
NSDP Outcomes
• Identify and increase production of occupations in high demand.
• Linking education and the workplace.
• Improving the level of skills in the South African workforce.
• Increase access to occupationally directed programmes.
• Support the growth of the public college system.
• Skills development support for entrepreneurship and cooperative
development.
• Encourage and support worker initiated training.
• Support career development services.
The W&RSETA’s targets for the 2022/23 financial
year are as follows:
PROGRAMME 1 – Administration
• 15 stakeholder sessions to advocate skills
development programmes
• Unqualified audit opinion
