continues to operate and all the latest information on the motor trade is uploaded onto
the site. In keeping in line with modern trends, the Association has also created and

uploaded a FB page.

Auto Trade News

As part of its services to the Association, the CMTA Secretariat (the Ceylon Chamber of
Commerce) continued to disseminate the monthly motor vehicle registration of brand

new, used and locally built and assembled motor vehicles released by the RMV which has
turned out to be a very useful document to members. In addition, Gazette Notifications

and Finance Ministry circulars relating to the motor trade which are released almost
immediately are shared among the membership. To ensure that members are not solely

confined to the local motor industry, updates in the global auto industry is also
disseminated among the members.

Representations on Other Bodies

Mr. Charaka Perera, Vice Chairman represented your Association on the Committee of the
Ceylon Chamber of Commerce at its monthly Committee Meetings and other meetings of

the Chamber.

The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee continued to meet regularly on a monthly basis as well as
whenever the necessity arises to discuss and resolve topical issues faced by the members.
