HIGH SCHOOL
MOCK TRIAL COMPETITIONS
VOLUNTEER NOW
FOR THE OHIO
MOCK TRIAL!
Be a judge for the day and help inspire tomorrow’s young lawyers by volunteering for
the Ohio Mock Trial! The CMBA is proud to host the first two stages of the Ohio Mock
Trial Competition in Cuyahoga County again this year: District trials on January 17, 2020, and
Regional trials on February 7.
Your help is needed more than ever as the CMBA will be welcoming ALL local high school
teams to our District Competition. This exciting annual program is Ohio’s largest academic
competition, and Cuyahoga County high school participation is higher than any other
district in the state. With the help of volunteer judicial panelists and advisers from the legal
community in 2019, over 500 students representing 11 local high schools were given the
opportunity to hone their communication and analytical skills in a real-life courtroom setting.
Attorneys, judges, and law students are invited to help by serving as competition judicial
panelists at this done-in-a-day volunteer opportunity, where you will have the chance to
observe the region’s finest budding legal minds in an exciting afternoon of competition.
