from THE PrESIDEnT
Part three of the series featured Reginald
Turner, who is a partner at Clark Hill in Detroit,
the past president of the State Bar of Michigan,
and the past president of the National Bar
Association, which is the largest and oldest
association of African-American attorneys
in the country. Reggie has a wide range of
Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 clients, and in
his presentation, he made the case for diversity
from a business perspective. According to
Reggie, research and common experience reveal
a diverse legal workforce often makes better
legal decisions because they have the benefit
of a wider range of experiences to draw from.
Additionally, Reggie is a director at Comerica,
one of the largest financial institutions in the
country. According to Reggie, the growing
trend for large companies across the country is
to hire and retain law firms that are committed
to diversity.
