CLIMATE CHANGE
CLIMATE CHANGE
Environmental issues are now an important aspect of schooling.
According to Baliram and Jadhav (2020), climate change is one of
the most widely debated topics on our planet in the late twentieth
and early twenty-first centuries. At the same point, UNESCO (2021)
stated that by 2025, environmental education must be a key
curricular component for all educational levels. Education has
emerged as the key and visible element of the international
response to climate change. It is critical to support climate action.
Ministers and vice ministers of education, as well as environmental
stakeholders, take concrete efforts to ensure the survival of the
world by changing education. Climate change was one of the
environmental challenges highlighted by UNESCO.
Climate change can be an excellent topic for a drama production
(Lehtonen, 2021). A dramatic performance on climate change can
explore various themes, including environmental justice, natural
disasters, individual and collective action, conflict and collaboration,
and futuristic worlds. By incorporating climate change into a
dramatic performance, the production serves as a powerful tool to
raise awareness, foster understanding, and inspire action.
Additionally, the drama production can delve into the complexities
of conflicts arising from climate change and emphasize the critical
need for dialogue, cooperation, and finding common ground. By
portraying the challenges and obstacles faced by different groups
and nations, the performance highlights the urgency of working
together to address climate-related issues (Lehtonen, et al., 2020).
Thus, through thought-provoking storytelling, the drama prompts
audiences to reflect on the importance of unity and collaboration in
tackling the global crisis of climate change.
