Oil Recovery
The water should be recycled to be used in the distillation process because it is saturated with oil.
(Cohabation)
Oil in water of cohabation can be separated by:
1- Salting out: NaCl
2- Extraction with organic solvent immiscible with water
A- Water Distillation
Advantages: Disadvantages
Simple & Cheap 1- Incomplete exhaustion
2- Esters hydrolysis
3- Aldehydes Polymerization
4- Not suites high B.P. comps.
5- Need more space
