Andrew Eckley - 2017 MILTON Scholar

Congrats to Andy Eckley, the recipient of the 2017 MILTON Scholar Award! With over 80 courses under his belt for 2017, he completed

more than any other employee last year. Now approaching his two-year anniversary as a Systems Administrator in our Lexington Park
office, he is certainly keeping up-to-speed on his skillset.

Currently, Andy holds a MCSE, Cisco CCNA, CompTia Network+, Server+, A+, CIW, and other minor certifications. Last year, he passed

the Security+ CE certification (with the help of MILTON) to attain DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance, which is a requirement for his

current position. The 8570 is slowly being replaced by DoD 8140.

Constantly in the pursuit of professional development, Andy is currently in training for his CASP, CSA+, and CISSP certifications. He will
most likely be taking the CASP exam first, but has completed all the associated MILTON on-line courses in addition to studying with
other resources. As always, Andy’s goal is to continue to attain higher certifications, keep his required certification(s) active, and achieve
IAT Level III compliance. This is no easy task: to keep his Security+ CE active, he must accrue 50 CE credits within a 36 month period.
Completing the online MILTON courses has been extremely helpful in helping him meet his required CE credit goals.
