AGA conferences
Conference season is in full swing,
and we kick-started this year with
the Association of Government
Accountants (AGA). MIL is a sponsor
of AGA, a member organization for
financial management professionals
which offers training events,
professional certifications, and
publications, and ongoing education
help members build skills and advance
their careers.
The MIL Corporate Service Center
and Financial teams attended the AGA
National Leadership Training (NLT)
and Financial Systems Summit (FSS) earlier this year. The NLT
is the essential event for developing and training government
financial professionals to excel as leaders in today’s competitive
market. This year, it was held at the Ronald Reagan Building
and International Trade Center on February 27 and 28. The FSS
unites government leaders and industry experts to discuss how to
improve government service through systems modernization in a
budget-constrained environment. The FSS conference was held at
the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on March 27. Both
events allowed MIL to network, gain insight, and continue to
leave a footprint in the financial industry.
MIL will be attending the annual Professional Development
Training (PDT) in New Orleans July 21-24. For more information
on AGA please visit their website or contact your supervisor
about getting involved in AGA.
