                                    MIL—A great place to bike!

As a company committed to sustainability, MIL is excited to celebrate National Bike to
Work Day with our employees in the ETS sector who have already started incorporating
environmentally friendly transportation into their daily routines. Our forward-thinking
employees have been bringing bikes and other electric vehicles to work for lunch runs and
even daily commutes. This initiative not only promotes a healthier lifestyle for our employees
but also highlights MIL's commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a
sustainable future. We believe that celebrating National Bike to Work Day is a great way to show
our support for this important cause and encourage even more of our employees to join us in
this effort. Plus, let's be honest, biking to work is really fun!”

        LOC team revives HOPE partnership

MIL's IT Sector team at the Library of Congress recently
renewed their partnership with The HOPE Project to
provide interns to assist in completing an annual physical
inventory of all IT equipment used by the agency's 4,500+
staff members and end user community. The internship will
provide valuable IT experience to The Hope Project’s rising
young IT professionals in the DMV area. While discussing
how to achieve the inventory without impacting current
performance or budget, MIL's management team reached out
to the organization to ask if an internship opportunity could be
arranged. Leaders from The HOPE Project were enthusiastic
for the opportunity and began recommending students for
consideration. Initially, five interns were selected and have
proven to be invaluable resources. The interns work alongside
MIL's desktop support team under the direction of end user
support manager Xavier Parada. Because of their efforts, the
MIL team has received praise from Library staff and executives, including Chief Information Officer Judith Conklin who
expressed her appreciation that initiatives which are important to Library operations are being handled professionally and
swiftly. With the early success, MIL's Library management team recently met with HOPE leadership to expand the opportunity
