           The MIL Pledge: Respect

           We introduced you to the MIL Pledge in our last issue.  In this issue, we are going to dive into the first tenet of
           the pledge – respect.

           Creating a sense of belonging to a team where everyone is respected and productive—will attract and help you
           keep the type of people you want. How do we build a culture where people respect other people and where there is
           a feeling of inclusion?  It is built from intention, a desire to build an organization where individuals truly are valued
           and from a place where leaders not only walk this talk, they live it. Respect is not a matter of the head, it is a matter
           of the heart. It cannot be dictated — it is a way of being.
           Understanding how to put the words from our pledge into action is critical.  Do you know what respect looks like in
           the workplace?  Do you model respect as a leader?
