        Flexible Spending and Health

        Savings Accounts

The IRS has recently announced that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect
against COVID-19 is an eligible expense under Flexible Spending and Health Savings
Accounts. PPE includes masks, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes. Since merchant codes
do not currently include PPE for FSA and HSA debit card use, individuals will need to
submit for reimbursement directly from Evolution Health Care or HSA Bank.

        Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in May in the United States since 1949,
reaching millions of people with the goal of building public understanding and recognition
of brain and behavioral health and its importance to overall health and wellness.
Managers can support employee mental health by learning about it. As the main cause of
long-term sickness absence in one in five companies, mental health issues affect us all –
we simply need to make learning about them a priority. This starts with training yourself
and your teams on mental health and stress management. Since disorders like anxiety
and depression are very common, it is important that everyone knows how to spot early
        warning signs and manage stress.
Some warning signs are more obvious than others, and the quality of workplace
relationships can make the difference between proactive and reactive support. Build a
trusting, supporting culture and try to get to know your employees personally. With this
emotional intelligence, you’ll be able to spot any changes in their behaviors, and – perhaps
more importantly – colleagues will be more likely to volunteer what they’re going through.

Non-verbal communication can be used a tool for
team building. Understanding cues allow us to
see when our team is overwhelmed, disengaged,
             or actively working together. 55%
