IV ÇALICE MAE FOY (1888-1973)

There’s still mystery about ALICE MAE
FOY born to John Elon Foy and Mary
McCown in 1888 in Limestone County,
TX.

ALICE was born February 28, 1888 and
lived with her family in Texas and
Oklahoma until the early 1900s when
she, along with her brother, Truman
Frank and her sister, Minnie, moved to
Ft Worth, TX where they resided at 711
Belknap, #3 in 1902.

In 1907 ALICE MAE and TRUMAN
(noted as FRANK T. FOY) were listed in
the Ft Worth city directory as living at

202 North Cherry. FRANK T. then
worked as a driver for Alta Vista
Creamery Co. while MAE worked as an
operator for the Ft Worth Telephone
Company. MAE had telephone number
595 listed at that address.

Mary McCown Foy & Alice Mae Foy

On October 22, 1907 MAE married WILL B. SPRINKLE in Tarrant County. They later
moved to the Los Angeles, California area where they lived for the remainder of their
lives.

Not much is presently known about MAE and WILL. Allegedly they had one son
HENRY. Famed cowboy movie star HOPILONG CASSIDY was reportedly HENRY’s
God-father.
