From Whence Came You

A Commentary on the Origins of our Raising Ceremony

Yeah my Brethren, I have a word; and though the skin may slip from the flesh
and the flesh may cleave from the bone, there is strength in the Lion of Judah,
and he shall prevail. And then, the strong grip of a Master Mason, on the Five
Points of Fellowship, in a low breath, the Grand Masonic Word.

And so, another raising ceremony comes to an end. Repeated millions of times
around the world, and yet the Masonic Phenomenon we know the least about.

We know that the term Lodge was first used in 1278
We know that the Regius Poem of 1390 is the oldest Masonic Manuscript We
know that the term Freemason appeared in the Statutes of England in1487
And we know that the Grand Lodge of England was formed in 1717

To understand how our ceremony was contrived, we need to understand that
there were two degrees in 1717. The Third Degree as we know it did not appear
until the 1730's, with our ceremony developing over a twenty year period.

                                                  And now, one theory:

The Hiram Key tells us that King Sequenre Tao possessed the knowledge of a
special ritual that was supposed to create a King. Apophis, a rival King,
dispatched three assassins; Joseph, Simeon and Levi to the Temple of Osiris
extort the secrets from Tao. They killed two Priests and then with three blows to
the head killed Tao. the secrets lost forever. The two sons of Tao became
                                                        fatherless.

Two Kings, 3 assassins, 3 blows to the head, a secret (lost) at a Temple, Widows
                                                           Sons
                                                 And now, The Theory

First and Foremost, the premise of the substance of the Graham Manuscript of
1726 purports the actions of the Sons of Noah emanate from the Legends of
                                                      Osiris and Isis.

Osiris the Egyptian God and King was killed by his brother Set, who scattered
his 14 body parts all over Egypt. Isis found and restored Osiris, but he was still
dead and so he ruled the Underworld as the Lord of the Dead and God of
Rebirth and Eternal Life Historians, including Anderson agree that Noah's
