                      Intravascular routes



                  Intravascular administration can be intravenous or intra-arterial.

                  Important features of the intravascular route of drug administration

                  1. There is no absorption phase.


                  2. There is an immediate onset of action.
                  3.  The  entire  administered  dose  is  available  to  produce  pharmacological


                      effects.
