• This Chinese proverb epitomises the geographer’s
essential learning tool.…the field trip. I have witnessed
many times how learning outside the classroom can switch
on those proverbial lightbulbs in my pupils’ heads.
• The summer programme includes some key elements
that you might need to catch up on before your return in
September. These will leave you prepared for the next step
as a geographer.
• Alternatively, for those of you who are all up-to-date,
there are one or two things you might like to have a look
at.
