 The above introduction is then the

                                             foundation upon which we anchor
this book. Poverty is a result of the
curse that God pronounced after the fall of man, as recounted in the
book of Genesis. We may all be familiar with many doctrines that
surround this subject. Many have subscribed to deceptive doctrines
that have nothing to do with any teachings on wealth. Sermons on
prosperity are now subject of ridicule and the avid supporters are
               often shunned.

               The dictionary defines “Poverty” as:-

“The state or condition of having little or no money, goods, or
means of support; condition of being poor; or deficiency of necessary
or desirable ingredients, qualities; scantiness; insufficiency”

The global index of measuring the level of poverty is guided by
the World Bank concept of “living under a dollar a day”. This has
now become the standard of establishing the poverty threshold as
it influenced by the key factor which is Purchasing Power Parity
               (PPP). 1
