sorrow and toil you shall eat [the fruit] of it All the days of your
life. 18 “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you
shall eat the plants of the field. 19 “By the sweat of your face You
will eat bread Until you return to the ground, For from it you
were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”Genesis
3:17-19
The ground, was to produce “thorns and thistles” (signifying
poverty); thereby making what would ordinarily be fruitful –barren.
Man would toil without any success whatsoever. Genesis 3:19 “by
the sweat, you will eat your food until you return to the ground”. “Sweat”
appearing on the preceding scripture still denotes futility of labour,
manifesting through poverty.
“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will
eat food from it all the days of your life, it will produce thorns
and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field, by the
sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the
ground…so the Lord banished him from the Garden of Eden to
work the ground from which he had been taken” Genesis 3:17-19
&23.[NIV]
Despite the fall, the Word of the Lord cannot be taken back; it is
forever abiding. He has never altered His Word.
“My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of
My lips” Psalm 89:34[AMP]
Unknown to the devil, God’s plan of redemption was already set
up even before the epic fall. The bible makes mention of this “the
Lamb that was slain [in sacrifice] from the foundations of the world”
