          PORCELAINE BLEU BLANC, KANGZHUO
          LA PLAQUE: CHINE, DYNASTIE QING,
          EPOQUE JIAQING (1796-1820)
          LA TABLE: CHINE, DEBUT DU XXEME SIECLE
          Reposant  sur  quatre  petits  pieds  droits,  la  ceinture  est  sculptée
          de  volutes  géométriques  sur  les  côtés.  La  grande  plaque  carrée
          en porcelaine bleu blanc est finement décorée de chauves-souris,
          double-poissons,  pierres  sonores,  fleurs  épanouies  et  rinceaux
          feuillagés.  Le  centre  est  rehaussé  d'une  rosace  délicatement
          formée  par  neuf  pêches  de  longévité.  La  bordure  est  ornée  de
          chauves-souris volant parmi des nuages.

          Previously from a French private collection.

          A  blue  and  white  porcelain  inlaid  black  lacquer  bed,  dated
          Kangxi period, is in the collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing,
          illustrated  in  The  Complete  Collection  of  Treasures  of  the  Palace
          Museum  -  Furniture  of  the  Ming  and  Qing  Dynasties  (II),  Hong
          Kong, 2002, pl. 3. Another comparable hongmu low table with a
          rectangular blue and white porcelain top, dated Jiaqing period, is
          illustrated by Tian Jiaqing in Classic Chinese Furniture of the Qing
          Dynasty, Hong Kong, 1995, Fig. 24 (fig.1.).

                                                                similar  subject,  dated  late  Qianlong-early  Jiaqing  period,  sold
                                                                in  Sotheby’s  Paris,  18  December  2012,  lot  138.  A  rectangular
                                                                famille  rose  plaque  depicting  the  Eight  Buddhist  Emblems
                                                                surrounding  the  same  type  of  ‘nine-peach-roundel’  is  in  the
                                                                collection  of  the  musée  national  des  arts  asiatiques  Guimet,
                                                                Paris (inventory no. MG 8050).
