A BLUE AND WHITE ‘MONTH’ CUP
Kangxi six-character mark, Guangxu
Thinly potted with deep rounded sides rising to a gently
flaring rim, the exterior finely painted with flowering orchids
representing July, growing beside rockwork and flowing
stream, the other side with a poetic inscription followed by the
seal Shang, the six-character mark on the recessed base, box.
6.7cm (2 5/8in) diam.; 5.3cm (2 1/8in) high. (2).

青花「大清康熙年製」雙圈楷書款
The highly admired ‘month’ cups originated in the Kangxi
period; compare with the ‘orchid’ cup in a set of blue and
white month cups in the Beijing Palace Museum, illustrated by
Chen Runmin in Qing Shunzhi Kangxi qiao qinghua ci, Beijing,
2005, p.252.
圓唇，口微侈，腹斜收於圈足，外壁繪青花蘭叢，留白處書
「廣殿輕香發，高臺遠吹吟」，鈐「賞」字印，足底繪青花
雙圈並書楷書「大清康熙年製」六字款，通體施透明釉。
此杯仿康熙十二花神杯，杯型紋樣一脈相承，比較北京故宮
藏一套康熙青花十二花神杯之蘭月杯，見陳潤明編，《清順
治康熙朝青花瓷》，北京，2005年，頁252。
