The Brooklyn Museum announced the receipt and
installation of a munificent gift from Mr. Samuel P.
Avery, and that the objects are now on view in the
first floor central section of the Museum. The gift in
questions makes a climax to the already celebrated
Avery collection of Chinese cloisonné enamels…The
new installation has also involved a rearrangement
of the entire collection, already known as the largest
and most important of its class in the world.
