JADE GU-FORM VASE
20TH CENTURY
of quadrilobed section, the central bulb carved with taotie masks
and set between a splayed base and flaring trumpet mouth both
patterned with stylized cicada lappets, each side of the vase
bisected by a central vertical flange, the narrow sides of the neck
set with a pair of beast-mask-handles suspending loose rings,
the stone an even pale green tone with a few scattered russet or
icy patches
