           A FINE PARCEL-GILT BRONZE BELT PLAQUE
           Tang Dynasty
           The upper face decorated in crisp shallow relief
           with a heavily-armoured warrior Immortal seated
           on a cloud raft trailing ribbons and holding a sword
           across his lap, flanked at the left by a lady holding
           a tiered vessel, and at the right by a ferocious
           guardian attendant, the surface with much shallow
           gilding remaining except on the points of highest
           relief, one end of the plaque curved in a gentle
           crescent, the other straight, fitted box.
           9cm (3 1/2in) wide. (2).

           A PARCEL-GILT BRONZE COMB
           Tang Dynasty
           The gilt upper section of the comb shaped as a
           crescent moon, decorated in repoussé with a pair
           of birds in flight by a large leafy flower, all on a ring-
           punched ground, between two rocks on either side,
           framed by a beaded border, above a wave border
           and beneath pine needles, box. 14cm (5 1/2in)
           wide. (2).
