           A LARGE PAINTED POTTERY FIGURE OF A
           LOKAPALA
           Tang Dynasty
           The guardian standing on top of a recumbent
           ox, his left hand placed on his hip and his right
           hand raised as if to hold a weapon, his face
           painted in red to accentuate the fierce expression
           and topped with an elaborate helmet decorated
           with a prominent pommel and pair of protruding
           terminals, clad in elaborate armour including a
           breastplate with scrolls and epaulettes surmounted
           by flames, wood stand.                           76
