           A RARE ARCHAISTIC YELLOWISH AND RUSSET JADE       The present jade bi disc with the design of a coiled dragon biting
           ‘DOUBLE-DRAGON’ DISC, BI                          its own tail is based on Shang dynasty prototypes; see an example
           Ming Dynasty                                      from the Shang period in the British Museum, London, illustrated by
           Carved in the form of a stylised kui dragon, both sides of the body   J.Rawson, Chinese Jades from the Neolithic to the Qing, London,
           finely carved with abstract C-shaped scrolls and incised wings, the   1995, p.208, pl.12:1.
           stone of light yellow-chestnut and russet tone with minor greyish-
