CELADON ‘LOTUS’ BOWL
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
The bowl is moulded to the exterior with a
band of slender lotus petals, emanating from
the foot. It is covered in a glaze of soft bluish
sea-green tone, pooling in the crevices of the
decoration and stopping neatly at the foot.

creamy-white slip to the biscuit body
with geometric swirls. The recessed base is
