Zhao Shigang (1874-1945) was a painter, calligrapher,
educator, and scholar of the classics from Zhejiang
province during the late Qing-early Republic period.
He was especially accomplished as a seal carver and
epigrapher, and his fame rivaled that of Wu Changshuo
(1844-1927) in these areas. After the Republic of China
was established, Zhao moved to Shanghai and lived as
a recluse.

一六六〇年作
題識：庚子（1660年）新秋畫為子重詞年翁壽。王
時敏。

裱邊趙時棡（1874-1945）題跋：
六法精於唐，至宋元明始極情盡致，遠國朝奉常、
廉州出，咸能羅四代於一手。而婁東宗派，則自奉
常啟其緒第，近世所傳贗跡甚夥。此幀題款雖有小
疵，而神韻超逸，殆本大癡考之。庚子為順治十七
年正，奉常六十有九也。乙丑（1925年）仲秋趙世
宦識於寶松閣。
鈐印：趙時棡、叔孺
註：趙時棡，字獻忱，初號紉萇，後改號作叔孺，
晚年號二弩老人，浙江鄞縣人。清末民國時傑出畫
家，書法家，篆刻家，教育家，古文字學家，以篆
刻和金石學成就最高，與吳昌碩齊名。
