EASTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (770-256 BC)
Each jade bird pendant, mostly calcified, is carved
in profile with raised tail, scrolled wings, feet and
parallel lines for the tail feathers.

A GREEN JADE HUANG
WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (C. 1100-771 BC)
The flat, arc-shaped jade huang is incised on both
sides with irregular ‘C’ scrolls to the body and
drilled with small apertures at both ends. The
stone is of an olive-green tone with some lighter
calcified inclusions.
