NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127)
The jar is of slightly compressed ovoid form, carved with four equally spaced cartouches
enclosing peony blooms divided by stylised cloud-scrolls, covered on the exterior and
interior with a glaze of olive-green tone.
