A LINGBI MOUNTAIN-FORM SCHOLAR’S ROCK

The blackish-grey stone is formed with several peaks of varying
heights dominated by a lofty peak, with dramatic crevices, sharp
ridges and deeply-furrowed hollows, reminiscent of a divine
mountain range.

靈璧石「廬山五老峰」擺件

南宋趙希鵠的《洞天清祿集》中記:「靈璧石出絳州靈璧縣。」靈璧石
體青潤光滑,扣之鏗然有聲,形態變化多端,文人墨客賞之論之。此石
峰體橫臥,主峰居右,輔峰分列在側,峰巒逶迤相連,峰岩陡峭險絕,
峰褶嶙峋巉岩,如唐代李白之《登廬山五老峰》嘆「青天削出金芙蓉」
之勢,磅薄而宕逸,遠觀近賞皆宜,饒有情懷。下承隨形底座,以管腳
棖相連。
