A LINGBI MOUNTAIN-FORM SCHOLAR’S ROCK

The blackish-grey stone is formed with several peaks of varying
heights dominated by a lofty peak, with dramatic crevices, sharp
ridges and deeply-furrowed hollows, reminiscent of a divine
mountain range.

靈璧石「廬山五老峰」擺件

南宋趙希鵠的《洞天清祿集》中記：「靈璧石出絳州靈璧縣。」靈璧石
體青潤光滑，扣之鏗然有聲，形態變化多端，文人墨客賞之論之。此石
峰體橫臥，主峰居右，輔峰分列在側，峰巒逶迤相連，峰岩陡峭險絕，
峰褶嶙峋巉岩，如唐代李白之《登廬山五老峰》嘆「青天削出金芙蓉」
之勢，磅薄而宕逸，遠觀近賞皆宜，饒有情懷。下承隨形底座，以管腳
棖相連。
