A RARE CELADON-GLAZED OCTAGONAL LOBED VASE
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The vase is divided into eight bracketed lobes, moulded on the neck and shoulders with
horizontal ribs, covered overall with an even glaze of pale sea-green tone.

Vases of this type are rare with only very few known examples. A Qianlong celadon-glazed vase of this
form is illustrated in Yamanaka & Company, Collection of Chinese and Other Far Eastern Art, New York,
1943, no. 1265. Another was sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, 20 November 1984, lot 451. A third one was
sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, 23 October 2005, lot 328.

此瓶造型規整,釉色純正,非常珍稀,同類例子為數不多。一件乾隆粉青釉八棱瓶,著錄在紐約山中商
會圖錄《Collection of Chinese and Other Far Eastern Art》,1943年,圖1265號。另外兩件分別1984年11月
20日於香港蘇富比拍賣,拍品451號,及2005年10月23日於香港蘇富比拍賣,拍品328號。
