                                                                 of liverish-red tone, the interior and base with a clear glaze.

    A FINE AND VERY RARE LARGE ROBIN’S
    EGG-GLAZED DOUBLE-GOURD VASE

     QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

    The vase is well potted with a generous double-gourd
    shape, and covered inside and out with a robin’s egg-
    glaze which falls to the edge of the broad unglazed ring
    encircling the similarly glazed concave centre of the base.
