Each is finely decorated on the exterior with the ‘Eight Buddhist
Emblems’ tied in ribbons and arranged in pairs below iron-red
key-fret scrollwork within blue bands at the slightly flaring rim and
above conjoined ruyi-heads and a dotted band on yellow-ground
above the foot.
