A LARGE DEHUA FIGURE OF GUANYIN
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
The elegant figure is modelled with a serene expression, her hair
elaborately coiffed with a double topknot secured behind a tiara
and two long braids flowing down her shoulder, holding in her
left hand a wicker basket containing a fish, dressed in long robes
embellished with beaded tassels, with a lotus necklace across her
chest, standing atop lotus flowers and leaves above swirling waves.
