A WHITE JADE CARVING OF TIANLU
MID QING DYNASTY
The mythical beast is carved with a single horn in a recumbent position resting on a
cloud-scroll stand, with vapour emanating from its jaw and a bat resting on its back. The
stone is of a creamy-white tone with areas of russet inclusions and highlights.
