    QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY                                         A FINE AND RARE SMALL MING-STYLE DOUCAI

    The cup is painted around the exterior depicting a cockerel on     ‘CHICKEN’ CUP
    one side and a hen watching over her small chicks on the other
    side, divided by two clusters of flowers emerging from rocks. The  KANGXI-YONGZHENG PERIOD (1662-1735)
    base is inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark
    within a double square.                                            The cup is finely potted with thin rounded sides, delicately painted

                                                                       臥足盃,形如缸,因以名之。外壁以通景分繪公雞、母雞及小雞兩組,
                                                                       間以山石配搭月季和萱草。底青花書雙方框「大明成化年製」偽款。

                                                                       成化鬥彩雞缸盃,為明清官窯瓷器之名品,清康熙、雍正、乾隆三朝皆
                                                                       以仿燒為能。清代仿燒品可大致分為兩類,一類如此盃,不論形制或畫
                                                                       風均較忠於成化的風格,另一類則融入清代宮廷藝術風格。此盃體積特
                                                                       別小巧,嬌貴可愛,非常罕見。

                                                                       台北故宮博物院藏八件明成化鬥彩雞缸盃原型,其中六件載於《成化瓷
                                                                       器特展圖錄》,台北,2003年,頁146-147,圖版132-137號。大維德
                                                                       基金會藏一件明成化鬥彩雞缸盃原型及清康熙鬥彩雞缸盃各一件,現藏
                                                                       大英博物館,載於蘇玫瑰,《Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art: A
                                                                       Guide to the Collection》,倫敦,1989年,頁85,圖版79。 另有兩例清
                                                                       康熙鬥彩雞缸盃,其一於紐約蘇富比拍賣,2012年9月11日,拍品41號;
                                                                       其二於香港佳士得拍賣,2014年11月26日,拍品3302號。大維德基金會
                                                                       之康熙雞缸盃及前述兩拍賣之例均較忠於成化本朝風格。
